Glendale Community College presents 25th annual “Phanatix”
By: Ramon Barajas III
On Friday October 29, 2011 Glendale Community College’s dance production hosted its 25th annual “Phanatix” Showcase event. It is an event which is done once a year here at Glendale College and is open to the public. I have been present at several occasions for this event, however this is the first time that I had the opportunity to actually interview and get to know the individuals who make this event a wonderful experience for its audience.
For many, this was a new experience within the event itself. For the first, you had dancers who were in middle school be part of the showcase. In addition, we had performers representing CalState LA, CalState LB, and Santa Monica College as well as our very own Glendale Community College. Everyone had a great time.
In the end, the event was a success and many people are looking forward to the next “Phanatix” next year. Further the dance production is hosting its by annual dance production event on December 9,10 and 11 at the Glendale Community College’s Theater. We were luckily able to see a sneak preview of some of the performances that will be showcased at that event. I am looking forward to having another opportunity to be a part of this and many more events here at Glendale Community College.
